Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Setting up a gift page
What gifts can I select?
As long as it's legal, it's fine by us! The best thing to do is find the gift you want on somewhere like Amazon and paste the link in to the gift page.
What if the gift I want isn't for sale on the web?
You can still create a Wraply page for it! It's still best to link to a webpage about it, even if it's not for sale there, as then people can see what they're giving their contributions for.
Do I need a PayPal account to set up a gift?
Yes you do, but it's very quick to set up. All you need is an email address. In fact if you click here (Register with Paypal) you can do it right now!
Do I have to wait for all the money before I can get the gift?
Nope, you'll get each contribution as soon as it is made, so you can buy the gift whenever you want even if you don't reach the target.
Contributing towards a gift
What happens to the money that I contribute towards a gift page?
Like Santa has his little helpers, we have PayPal. Their busy little systems make sure the money goes directly from you to the PayPal account of the gift organiser securely and quickly. We charge a small transaction fee (4.5% + 25p) to cover our costs and this will be shown when you confirm your payment.
What payment methods can I use to contribute to a gift?
Payments need to be made through PayPal. Once you've set up your PayPal account, payments can be taken via Credit Card, Debit Card or directly from your normal bank account - whichever method you prefer.
What happens when all the money is raised for a gift?
When that great day arrives, we'll send an email to the organiser of the gift page letting them know. They can then go and buy the present!
Does the organiser have to spend the money on the gift they selected?
No, like a gift voucher, the money could be spent on other things if the organiser wants to.
